Module 6 Advancing Health Promotion and Active Citizenship for Experienced Care Workers and Educators

The short e. Learning course that precedes module 6 was targeted at care workers and educational staff with a short educational background or no professional background.

Module 6 is aimed at care workers and educational staff with a long educational background.

The material we have collected in module 6 has an expected scope – of approx. 40 hours of work or approx. a total of 50 lessons of 45 minutes duration.

The learning process is built around a series of reports published by key actors when we talk about health promotion and active citizenship in Denmark. Module 6 in this edition is only offered in Denmark.

To be able to work with the special task of working to promote health with people with learning difficulties , mental challenges, retardation and oligophrenia , and especially working to strengthen their active citizenship requires that you have a good foundation to stand on.

This extended part of the AIDA e. Learning program is divided into 3 main sections.

  1. Knowledge of the general in relation to health promotion, active lifestyle, active citizenship – what applies to everyone
  2. Knowledge of the concrete – with a focus on health promotion, active lifestyles and active citizenship among the elderly.
  3. Knowledge of the special – with a focus on health promotion, active lifestyle and active citizenship among elderly people with mental retardation
